Cannot link bank account

My wife and I have a joint checking account and separate PayPal accounts. We recently changed banks, and have successfully linked our new debit cards to our respective PP accounts. When I try to link our checking account to either PP account, I get an error message "cannot process at this time." I've tried to link via routing and account numbers and by selecting my bank. Any thoughts?

I should mention that I deleted my original PayPal account and signed up again a day later, but with the same email address. Might that be an issue?

Hi @oldphoneguy Here's a link that may answer your questions about that error message. I can also suggest that you try to have one PayPal account with the checking account details while the other is linked to the debit card for the checking account. Hope this helps

I deleted my bank card from my account, but get an error message when trying to link my bank account: "can't process right now. Try again later." That's the same message I keep getting. I'd chat with cust. svc, but the wait is horrendous, and I understand why. Maybe I'll just bite the bullet unless someone else has a suggestion.

Paypal keeps removing my bank account for no apparent reason. This makes it impossible to make a payment on my paypal credit account. They told me they had reconnected the bank account so I made the payment again after it was noted to have been "refunded" the first time I made payment yet it was never run through my bank account so it therefore could not have been rejected or refunded. After speaking with both paypal and paypal credit agents, I was assured the problem had been resolved. However, today I received yet another notice from paypal that my bank account has been removed from my paypal account and my bank shows that no payment was initiated by paypal credit to remove any funds from my account to pay my bill as authorized. This is extremely frustrating and illegal. I will be filing legal action if this continues. I am also unable to add the account back manually because I get nothing but errors when attempting to do so. Paypal, stop impeding my ability to maintain my excellent credit rating and let me pay my bill!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
