Can I use an Australian Bank Account to link to a UK PayPal

I want to open an eBay UK store to sell items to UK customers. I realise that in order to do this I would need a UK PayPal account. And to open a UK PayPal account I would need a UK bank account. However I cannot open a UK bank account because I'm not a resident or citizen of the UK - I reside in Australia. It seems, from the research i've done so far, that you would need a UK residential address - something I don't have. Is there a way for me to open a UK PayPal account with an Australian bank account or use my current Australian PayPal account with an eBay UK store?

Paypal is country specific so you have to open a paypal account in the country you reside in and add an address / phone number / and bank accounts from within that country.
