Problem adding a Visa Card into my account

Hello,

I am trying to add a new card into my paypal account and I am getting below message

''Sorry, we can’t add this card. Please try adding a different card to your account''

I have already contacted my Bank Issuer and there is no problem with my card

Please help.

Hi Chrisgeo,

Welcome to the community forum and thanks for posting.

What that error message normally means is that the bank that issued your card are not allowing us to charge the card for authorisation.

When you add a new card or update the details of your card, we charge $1.00 to check the details with your bank. It is just a temporary hold but if this amount is not approved by your bank the card cannot be added.  What I recommend is calling the number on the back of your card, that gets your through to the card team directly. In my experience they are the best people to help.
