Hi kbpatfan1, and welcome to the forums!
If the number that is currently on the account is incorrect, you may submit a request to have the number edited. You may be requested to provide documentation to support the correction. It is not possible to remove the Tax ID without replacing it with a corrected one.
To get the process started, give Customer Solutions a call. A representative will determine what, if any, documents are needed, and get you started so you can supply them.
