emails from PayPal now sent in Spanish--need to change back to English!

In order to send a Payment Request to someone in Colombia, I changed the language from English to Spanish using a drop down menu in the upper right hand corner of a PayPal page. The payment request email went out in Spanish, as I had hoped.
I then changed the language back to English, and all of the PayPal web pages load in English, as I would like them to.
BUT, now, all of the emails that I receive from PayPal (notifications of payments received, etc.) are coming to me in Spanish! How do I change this back to English?

camner- I gotta say, that's one of the more unique errors I've heard of. 🙂
Here's probably gonna be the best fix for you. Clear your cache and cookies (no idea what browser you're using, so you might need to check that online), restart your computer, then go to the PayPal site and select your language preference just like you did before. This should update everything with your language preferences. If that doesn't work, give us a call and we'll make it cooperate.

Thanks for your prompt reply. It gets even stranger. At home the web pages were in English, though the emails were in Spanish. I logged in to PayPal at work and now the web pages are in Spanish, too!
It may be a bit before I get another email generated by the PayPal system. If I still have the problem, what number shall I call for the help you generously offered?

Yeah, that definitely sounds like a cache/cookies issue. If that doesn't work, just click on the "Contact Us" link towards the bottom of your account. From there (if you have the revamped page, which you should), there's a box that says "Call us" This will take you through a process to give you the number as well as a PIN number so we can verify you quicker.
