I have a situation that started two days ago, bought an item on ebay, went to pay immediately upon winning using the auction provided link. New security measures kicked in ,asked me to verify the full account number of one of my credit cards on file, next page asked for a new password and two new security questions, entered those just fine but the page came back with error message "The link you used to access this page has expired. Please log in to your account or begin your password recovery again", I have been through every conceivable way to reset my password and I get the same message. Now I can't get logged in to get help, or even find a phone number for help, I had to use my wife's account to post this question. Love the avatar they gave me?

Secondly--I would go ahead and give our Customer Service a call. I'm sorry you have had to spend so much time trying to recover your password. They should be able to help you out with getting this straightened out.
Here's how you can get the phone number for Customer Service:
1. Log in
2. Scroll to the bottom of the page and click on "Contact Us"
3. Scroll down to section 2 and click on "Call Us"
4. A customer service number and web PIN will appear.

I am having the same problem as rant, but since we cannot log in via our own account, I am not able to follow your instructions to get the customer service number. Rant may have been able to, but i am not. I am trying to pay for an ebay auction and have been trying for 2 days now with to no avail. Can you please help?

Here's how without needing to login to your account.
Click on this link, once this page displays, click on the "Call Us" option on the lower left hand side. This should populate information on the right with a link to Call PayPal Customer Service.
Next, a page will pull up that asks you to login--however on the right you have the option to click "continue" which will pull up a page with our contact phone number.
