Wrong address and can't link account

I just made a purchase on e-bay and opted to pay via PayPal, but NOT through my account because I wanted to use a different credit card.  When I got my confirmation, however, it listed an incorrect shipping address for me.  I can't seem to find the transaction now.  I logged into my account and added the credit card that I used for this purchase, but the transaction still does not appear in my "recent activity".  I have e-mailed the seller both via e-bay and with the e-mail address, but have not got a response yet.  Any ideas how I can get the transaction to show up so I can change the shipping address?  How on earth did they get an old address for me when I didn't even log into my account?

Thanks for your help.

The only thing that I can think of is if you recently used that old address as a "Gift Address" to have an item sent to. eBay will remember these and suggest them for future use. When you check out as a guest on PayPal, those transactions are not saved into a PayPal account to reference. You do however get an email receipt with a transaction number for reference.

Once a transaction is completed you cannot change the shipping address on it. You would have to contact the seller, have them cancel the order and then re-submit the order when the address is correct. The seller wont ship to an address that is not listed in the transaction details page if they want to keep their seller protection.
