PayPal Account Type Change

I signed up on PayPal as a Personal account. But I meant to sign up as Student and when I went to go buy a item I couldn't do to the Sending Limit.  Then when I pressed Fix It. I could only choose  bank account (which I don't have) or MasterCard. So how can I change to account to Student ?

Welcome to the boards!

Oh my, that's quite a pickle. An open and existing account can't be switched from regular to student.  To open a student account,  have your parent open it through their own account (there will be an area for Student Accounts in Product and Services).  In the meantime, you can go ahead and close your current account.

Hmmm, it would probably be best, then, to refund the money back to the sender.  Look for the "issue refund" link in the details of the payment that was sent to you.  They could then send it to your new account once it's opened!
