Paypal funding

I requested a withdrawal of £38 from my HSBC bank to PayPal, said it would take 5-7 days to go in. It’s been 7 days and it’s bsen taken out of my bank but isn’t in my Paypal? However on my HSBC activity it says ‘Paypal funding’ for £38, what does this mean?

Sorry first you say you are withdrawing funds and then you say you are adding funds to your Paypal account so which is it?
