Withdrawing money using a US bank account.

Hi everyone I am trying to money from Canadian PP account using a US bank account.   I did all I was asked and selected US and inserted my information for my checking account.   However upon which I continue I get an error 

"We were unable to process your bank account registration at this time. We apologize for the inconvenience. Please try again at a later date."

Is it not possible to withdraw money using a US bank account?

PayPal does state that adding a US bank account to a Canadian PayPal account is allowed.

I would contact PayPal and ask if they can identify any issues.
