Removing a debit card problem

I'm new to PayPal and I have a little problem or it's something I don't understand, I added a debit card by mistake to my account today's morning , I didn't perform any kind of transaction or transfers or anything else and when I try to remove the card again I get this message "before you remove this card add another one for auto transfers.. Unfortunately I don't have any other one and I still want to remove this debit card before closing my account " why can't I remove it!? please help.

I am sorry about your issue. This may happen for multiple reasons, such as you have a negative balance (you must bring your balance to zero or more to remove your card), there is a limitation on your PayPal account (check your Resolution Centre for any unresolved issue), there is a technical error.  

If that is not the case, please try contacting customer service by phone by clicking Contact at the bottom of the PayPal website and then Call us, or reach out by PM on Facebook or DM on Twitter.

I cannot believe is such a hassle to close mya ccount and remove my card. Unbelievable!!! I'm so **bleep**ing stupid to have opened Paypal account in the first place. I NEED TO REMOVE MY CARD BEFOR I CLOSE MY ACCOUTN, APPARENTLY! And the message says:

What the hell???!!!!
