  • Recently when I try to transfer money from my bank account to my PayPal account I get the following message
  • We weren’t able to do that.
  • Were sorry ,your payment to PayPal for £— was unsuccessful because the recipients account wasn’t able to accept the payment. Please contact the recipient.
  • Anyone any ideas why this is happening and how to fix it?

As you have not added your country to your profile (so we can see when we hover over your username) or said in your post which country you are in then sadly can't advise.
Paypal varies a great deal country to country so you need to tell us where you are on this worldwide community forum.

I'm having the same problem. I'm in the USA, have had a PayPal account for several years and a linked bank account for several years. It seems like customer service is not interested in helping or answering this question. For some reason PayPal is actively discouraging anyone from keeping a balance in their account. Well, that's how I like to use my account. If they can't/won't allow this anymore, and instead require bank transfers instead of paying from the PayPal balance, I'll take my business elsewhere.
