Prepaid Gift Card Confirmation

I have recently linked a prepaid gift credit card to my personal PayPal account. But it says that its unconfirmed. How can I confirm it? Thanks for reviewing my question.

Ah! Sorry. I’m back. Yes. The prepaid card has a lot more than $15HKD on it. When i click on the “confirm my card” button, it jumps directly to “Cannot Confirmed your card” or something like that. It doesn’t let me see the “confirmation process”. But wait, you said I have to have the card info window open?

Yeah, I wanted you to check that your registered card info matches your PayPal account info. All the info has to match exactly.

 

Anyway thanks for the update...hmmm, maybe its because you didn't register the card first before you added it. What kind of card is it? Visa or MasterCard, or AMEX or Discover card?

 

Maybe try removing the card, and carefully add it, then follow the steps above again. 

 

If it won't let you remove the card, or if you try to add it again and it says the card is already been added, please contact customer service for assistance, they will take a look for you and perhaps reset the card if necessary:

Log on, click HELP on top menu, scroll down to click CONTACT US, and then scroll down to click CALL US or other available options.

Do not keep repeating failed actions over and over. It will lock up the account. Try removing the card only once. And try adding card back once. If nothing works, you get error message, just contact customer service, ok? Only they can see into your account. No one here can. We are other PayPal users, helping other PayPal users.

@sharpiemarker I have tried all the method you suggested, all the info matches exactly. The card is a mastercard prepaid gift card that I bought from a store. Do I have to have the application of my card info window open to fix the problem? Thanks.

Oh and also, I mentioned that paypal charged me $0HKD, it said the type of trade is “Permission for Paying”.

Best to contact customer service for they can check to see what is the problem:

No, you don't have to have the application of your card info open to fix the problem. It was just for you to double check if your name and billing address of you registered card under matches name and billing address at your PayPal account.

@sharpiemarker Alright then. I have been trying to contact PayPal through email, but I still don’t know how. Everytime I click email, it just says “Sent”, but I see nothing in my gmail.
