Why do paypal hold my money all of a sudden..they happily take their cut but hold the rest..what right do they have to do this..my postage is part of the payment so i have to pay out my own pocket before they even consider releasing my funds..surely this is illegal

Same here, 20 days today been on hold, item was received less than 48 hours after sale and excellent feedback left. Completed tracking info at same time. It's showing as delivered etc. You follow the steps to get your funds quicker and they still hold your money. There like the money mafia.

its bad enough that they take a cut on the full amount including postage, but then they hold the money even tho I've been buying selling on here for 12 plus years, but they also hold back the postage so sellers are left footing the postage releasing the product and the holding the money for up to 21 days.

21 days is enough time for someone to take your item on holiday for a fortnight come home and then put in a complaint and paypal will issue their money straight back. This holding time should be no longer than 48hrs after receipt of purchase using tracking info we are asked to provide. This system didnt protect me after trying to get a refund on 2 badly damaged items last year and I was left £198 out of pocket even after their courier came and collected said items.
