Paypal Charging my Bank Account Twice for a Single Payment of an Item

Recently I paid for an item, and it has double charged my account, even though the statement on my account says I was only meant to pay once. I only ordered one unit of the item I bought, yet I have been charged twice in my bank account. I would call the support centre, but there is no one in the office due to COVID-19. Please assist me in this serious problem, and cancel the second payment as soon as possible.

Then only one payment should be listed Completed and the other remains at Pending until expiration with funds released in no longer than 30 days.

If they both are listed as Completed status, you can report it as a billing error: duplicate transaction by...

  1. Locate and click payment transaction in your PayPal account activity
  2. Click "Report a problem”.
  3. Click “I have a billing issue”.
  4. Click "Duplicate Transaction".

Then in the process, the system will ask you to select the matching duplicate.

Kudos & Solved are greatly appreciated. 🙂

Hi! Thank you for the reply. The duplicate is unfortunately not in my paypal account. The double payment is in my bank statement. As a result I am unable to select that option in the resolution centre.

PayPal will not hve it listed, so if its not listed you cant enter a dispute...they request processing to the bank, but claim they cant show it until it clears, but by then youre **bleep**, cos it also takes them days almost week to reverse it, so your money stays lockec in to your processing payments list if transactions...these people ares piexes of **bleep**
