Payment on hold

Transaction 2XDO8371HB8562002 payment of 200.58is on hold and I need these funds releasing so I can post the item. Please could you sort this please

Normally funds are released when tracking shows the item as delivered + 3 days OR 21 days if its the new seller hold.

I am having the same problem. I'm not a seller, and the transaction in question is my dad sending me money but we have accounts in different currencies. I think the transaction has mistakenly appeared to be a sale, but it's not, and I'm running into automated responses everywhere which gives me no means to clarify this.

Its down to how the payment was SENT to your account.

1. If your dad chose the send money > goods / services option then paypal would see you as a seller and apply the new seller hold. They would also charge you a fee.

2. If your dad had chosen the send money > family / friends option then you would have had the payment instantly.

You could try getting your dad to call customer services and authorise them to release the payment sooner as it was sent the wrong way?
