PayPal Balance not reflecting on FNB Online banking profile. Help with withdrawal

1) I received a payment in GBP and have done the currency conversion (the value of the original deposit has now decreased by around 50GBP is this normal?
2) I have an SA bank account linked to an FNB online banking profile but the balance is showing zero USD. When i try to transfer funds PayPal wants to verify a bank card. I haven't used my PayPal account for a long time and forgotten exactly how i transfer the funds from PayPal
