Negative balance

My account was recently used by someone in Russia, without my knowledge, to purchase several items. All payments were refunded and the money transferred back into my bank account but now the same has been taken from my PayPal balance, which was 0 beforehand, leaving me with negative credit. I've tried emailing but all I got was an automated response which was not help at all, and it won't even let me respond to the email now. I'm not paying anything towards the negative balance as it wasn't my fault. I'd rather the account terminated if that was the case, especially when my details were leaked and I was never informed. How can I resolve this? Thanks.
