How long will it take to release my payment to the seller after i confirm receipt the transaction?

i bought an item virtually. how ever my buyer wont send me the item because paypal holds the payment.. the seller just added the fake tracking and so i did confirm receipt the transaction. how long would it take to release my payment on hold to the buyer? because the buyer wont send me the item that im buying until its on hold?

You are the BUYER as you are BUYING the item.

The person you are buying from is the SELLER as he is SELLING the item !!!

Very confusing to read if you swap those about.

You should never confirm receipt of the item until you have received it, any hold is between Paypal and the seller and nothing to do with you. If they did not send then you should have opened a dispute for non receipt of item.

Hopefully the sellers payment will be released 7 days after you confirm but that is not guaranteed and it may be 21 days. But equally he can now ignore you and not send anything as you have negated your buyer protection by confirming receipt of an item you have not yet received.
