Hi. I just sent my daughter $10 using my Paypal balance yet she only received $9.41. Why was there a charge and why did she incur it?

Its down to how the payment was SENT to your account.
1. If you sent using money > goods / services option then paypal would see them as a seller and apply a fee.
2. If you had sent using the send money > family / friends option then they would have had the payment instantly with no fee.
Advice is voluntary.
Kudos / Solution appreciated.

Thanks so much for the reply! I have sent money to my daughter many times before and haven't had this happen. Possibly a setting was changed, but I am not sure how to tell if it was. My only option was simply "send money" and my preference was from my balance which should also be free. Can you point me in the right direction?
Thank you!
