I have recently sold an item on eBay for £275. The buyer had a zero feedback which I was wary off and thought they won’t pay. The seller contact me straight away saying his payment through PayPal was declined as there was an issue due to another payment he had just made, I was then asked to offer an alternative payment option which I refused to do and said it had to come through PayPal. Today I have received an echeque payment that is still yet to clear but I am dubious of how genuine this transaction is. Do I have cause to be concerned, is there a chance that after it has cleared I could get it taken back. Should I just cancel the transaction?

Once its cleared there is no more risk than any other payment or buyer APART from the fact he may be more likely to open a dispute if hes not an experienced buyer.
But we all started off at 0 didn't we.
