Does Personal account exist?

I won some sort of event prize on an app which based in South Korea and they sent the money to me via Paypal. And my money is now on hold because the buyer protection policy I think, but I registered my paypal account as personal account. I'm so confused rn! Is it because the sender chose to send money this way?? Also, I transfered the money from paypal to my bank account and I was informed that it was gonna take 5-7 days. And later on paypal sent e-mail to me saying I now have a good seller record and the pending money(which i was told that it was gonna available in 5-7 days) will be available in 21 days. So how long do I actually have to wait? This is my first transaction on paypal tho

As you can 'sell' on any type of account it would not matter what account type you have at the moment.

However in a lot of counties (and I think both of your senders and yours are affected) you can ONLY send payments for goods / services and do not have the friends / family option.

So you would have the 21 day hold if you were selling or receiving payments for any other reason. As the funds only get released earlier when you supply tracking and you can't do that as you didn't sell anything then you will probably have to wait the full 21 days.

HOWEVER you said you transfered the funds to your bank account so I am not sure how they can still be on hold in your paypal balance if you have withdrawn the funds??

If withdrawn then yes it can take a few days before it hits your bank account BUT the 21 day hold is only when its still in your paypal balance not once you have withdrawn it.

No idea as you haven't told us what country you are in or what account type you opened.

@kernowlass Thanks! You made it a lot clearer for me. I've had withdrawn my money before the e-mail about 21-day hold came. So after I'd read the mail I did some googling and thought that the hold was inevitable for the first transaction and business kind of transaction-and maybe it would be on hold while it is being transfered to my bank account(I'm so new to paypal lol) I don't know why it was not on hold tho(as it can't be if it is being withdrawn, right?) And I just re-read the e-mail about 21-day hold again, I still find it confusing. It said something like "you are a good seller, keep it up and you can withdraw your money instantly from now on! And the currently pending balance in your account can be used within 21 days after the transaction" but I already withdrew my money so..whoopsie doopsie? Guess i will have to wait to find out or maybe I should call the customer service lol Thank you again!
