Cant cancel a pending transaction.

I needed to send money to a family member, but I ended up trying to send the money from the wrong account and got charged for insufficient funds. My bad. However, PayPal just tried to complete the same transaction AGAIN, and so I got charged for insufficient funds AGAIN. I can't seem to be able to cancel that transaction, and I really don't want to get charged another $25 for an NSF. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks for your post!

I'm very sorry to hear about the trouble with your send money transaction. When you send money through PayPal using your bank, PayPal will sometimes front the money for you so the money will get to the recipient faster. Then, PayPal will be out of the money and will need to recover it. If your bank transaction denies due to insufficient funds, then PayPal will try again to recover the funds. This process cannot be stopped. After the 2nd attempt to recover the funds, PayPal will stop and instead pull your balance negative if the funds still couldn't be recovered. At that point, you can select the correct bank to bring your balance to normal again. I'm sorry that this is causing some fees with your bank, I'd suggest asking for the fees to be forgiven. Sometimes a bank can help you out as long as you ask, and have been a good customer with them.

I wish you the best in this situation. Thank you!
