Bounced direct debit, 3 x submitted 1 x paid, 2 x extra paid PP neg balance error

Paypal has taken money off me for a direct debit that showed as a bank credit 3 times for a single invoice.

When the funds in my bank account cleared, it paid for the single charge.

My account then went into negative balance a few weeks later for the 2 x bounced charge from previous transaction.

I paid $40 for phone credit recently and Paypal took an extra $65.96 to clear the negative balance.

 

No record of the negative balance shows on my PP account, only on my banks transaction list.

 

How can I get my money back?

Thank you for posting your question in the Community. I understand how concerning it would be to see a negative balance, and I'm sorry you experienced that. You can find more information about what happens if a bank fails to transfer funds to complete a payment in PayPal here. If you'd like to view your running balance, you can download your transaction history for a bit more detail.
