Bank account information disappeared...

Well sort of...

I was received a small amount through Paypal and would like to transfer this to my Bank of America checking account. A process I've completed dozens of times without issue in the past. What is happening right now is the following:

  • I click on the "Transfer Money" button and am ask to choose whether I want to "Transfer to your bank" or "Request a check by mail". Everything normal so far.
  • I click on "Transfer to your bank" and am asked to choose whether I want "in minutes (1% fee)" or "in 1-3 days (free)". Still normal.
  • I click "in 1-3 days". Here's where I should see my linked account information. It's not there. It's always there but it's gone now.
  • Weird, I click on "Link a Bank Account" and when I try to follow the process I'm presented with a message that "You already have your BANK OF AMERICA account in PayPal". Ok, why can't I transfer my money?
  • Back to home page, look at the left panel. From top to bottom I see "Paypal balance", "Paypal credit", "Bank of America checking account", "CapitalOne Mastercard". Everything I expect to see...nothing's missing, nothing's extra. The account I want to use is there, but when I try to transfer money it's nowhere to be found.

So was does my Bank Account information appear to be linked (I can see it in the left panel of the home page and when I tried to link the account I was told it already existed in Paypal) yet does not appear as an option for me to transfer my balance? I'm stumped here.

Merchant account here - the same just happened to me, but I'm using Wells Fargo.

I've done this literally hundreds of times in the last few years, and everything has gone smoothly - now the 1-3 day free transfer is gone and when I click on the "Why don't I see all my banks and cards?" link the error is "These can't be used for standard transfers", but of course I can do it for a 1% fee.

Hopefully this is just a temporary error, and not a new scheme.  Maybe Paypal is needing new revenue streams since eBay just ditched them.

addendum to above:

Looks like this was a temporary error or something, because I just did it the normal way - 1-3 day transfer - for free.

All of my account info was there, and I just received my confirmation email.  Weird.

I have this problem too. My bank account is linked but I can only choose the instant transfer, not standard. This worked normally last week.

If bank of America is payoneer then paypal does not support it, you may be able to add it but it won't work properly and paypal advise against you trying.
