3-5 business days for a transfer from bank to paypal

Okay this has been spoken about a lot but seems to have crickets from Paypal. So I am going to say PayPal you are obligated to answer this question because honestly there is no valid reason you could have to hold off funding an account for 3-5 days. The second it leaves my account it is possible to have funds available in less than 24 hours. How do I know this, because I've made sales on coinbase, and they say one to three days and I've had them show up in as little time as one hour. So this is some arbitrary boundary you set that honestly is not only unnecessary but a major inconvenience for your customers. You have to address this issue or I think the next step is starting a class action suit until you do. There is no purpose for such a long wait time, I need to transfer money to someone through PayPal, a family member, and now they are stuck with almost no money and the only reason is because of this ridiculous 3-5 day hold you have set up based on what seems to be nothing. you need to address this, give us answers and change this policy it's not acceptable.

1. This is not customer services but a user to user community advice forum.

2. Transfers from bank accounts are never instant, that is why when you buy something paypal credit the seller upfront for you and paypal take the wait for the funds to transfer to pay them back again, this is so you get your item without delay.

They use electronic and not wire transfer ie echeques which is the slowest but cheapest option and takes 5-7 days to process and that is why they credit the seller for you and paypal take the wait for the funds to transfer.

However if you are adding funds to a balance yourself OR paying a friends /family transaction then its your turn to wait for the echeque to clear and that is because its a FREE option. Feel free to fund it via a card and pay the fee for the instant transfer option.
