PayPal: will you please give a definitive answer on this? I am not pleased by your lack of customer support on this issue. You could simply say "We have no plans to enable Apple Pay", and be done with it. That would be much better than saying nothing and leaving all of your customers wondering...

According to these articles, PayPal was forced out of Apple Pay because PayPal went with Samsung on a similar deal.

So, as long as PayPal is cozy in bed with Samsung, it looks like PayPal MC users will remain collateral damage in this, IMHO, ridiculous this sniper war.

I want to give you (PAYPAL) a heads up. Thousands of us who have been loyal PAYPAL debit card owners and users have been begging you to please support Pay, but this request remains falling on deaf ears. Apple is in negotiations with a bank to allow them to issue debit cards to use via their iTunes accounts and as an Apple employee it's common knowledge we have over 800 Million iTunes sign-ups currently. I don't know about you, but that would make me a bit nervous.. Once that happens if PAYPAL does not have Pay turned, then you will most likely loose a majority of us, according to blogs and feedback sites all over the internet. Google it yourself for an eyeopening experience. Please do us (and yourself) a favor and don't let that happen.
I'm a beta tester for Apple as well and with IOS 9 they're about to turn on store cards and awards cards as well. Yep, Sears, Dillards, Target, QT gas, etc... Once they do that you really will look like you're in the corner pouting.
I personally love PAYPAL and it pains me to even writie this, but I want to buy things easily without carrying around my single debit card in the narrow pocket of my gym shorts (fearing it could fall out because it's not in a wallet any more) but I have no access to my sole source of funds using either my Watch or iPhone 6+. You see I closed my checking and savings accounts 9 years ago and got the business debit card the second you offered it. Since I ONLY use PAYPAL I'm locked out of paying for anything using the devices my employer provieds to me a millions of others around the world. Please, lets keep this relationship going for me and everyone else. Allow Pay while you're still relevant. <grin>

GREAT post, Razrmaid. My feelings exactly. Paypal is in big danger of losing my business as my eBay payment processor because of their being picky on how I spend MY money. I use Paypal as my credit card processor...I should be able to spend that money any way I want. If I can't...they may lose my business. Get with it, Paypal. I want a card with an EMV chip that supports Apple Pay.

When Apple Pay debuted, Paypal took an ad in San Francisco making a mockery of Apple Pay. My take is that Paypal will never join Apple Pay.
I am an Apple guy, and have been using Apple products since 1985. IF Paypal doesn't want to join Apple Pay, I will rather quit Paypal, than stop using my iPhone or Apple Watch.
My advice is this; conctantly withdraw your money to you bank account and use your bankcard for Apple Pay. Better yet, stop accepting Paypal, unles you have to. I have stopped using my Paypal debit card for purchases.

Honest Trader:
i'm pretty sure, after digging for the "behind the scenes facts", the fault in this fiasco is with Apple, and not with PayPal. PayPal WANTS to join ApplePay, but since PayPal had a prior agreement with Samsung (and are bound by it's term length), apple refuses to let them on their ApplePay playground. I continue to use PayPal in defiance of Apple, not the other way around. Did PayPal make some stupid moves? yes, they did. But it's Apple here who holds all the cards, and owns the deck, the table, and the casino. They could let PayPal in, they just don't want to.
