There's no good reason why PayPal can't use positive feedback to release funds instantly.

Ebay and PayPal are so slimy and shaddy when it comes to some of their business practices. And when questioned on some of these practices their answers are so insulting, to the point, that I'd swear they were joking.  "PAYbay" has somehow flipped the role of how good business is done.  They run their companies as if they were the customers and all of us are providing a service to them.  They ignore all customer complaints and suggestions.  If they can find a reason, they'll freeze funds for as long as they deem neccessary, even though the money isn't for them or from them.  It's just being sent through them.  Every policy change is another way to hold on to our money longer.  They're suppose to be a security middle man between the buyer and seller so both sides recieve satisfaction.  Paypal doesn't care about customer satifaction because they have no real competition, so why bother right.  Paypal only cares about PayPal's satisfaction and  their customers money staying in their system.  And when someone calls them out and they dont feel like digging up some weak excuse they'll smuggly tell you to deal with it or leave.

This is why they completely refuse to instantly release funds when the tracking on a package says its been delievered and the buyer decides to leave positive feedback. Even though it makes perfect sense to everyone but them.  This was posed on Ebays web page under  "Changes to PayPal payment holds for new sellers" and this is what they had to say: "We think that the release times for funds that we've set for this programme are fair to both buyers and sellers. PayPal uses postage time to determine when funds will be released because relying on buyer Feedback for release of funds may expose you to further delays as not all buyers leave feedback."  So what are they really saying here?  We dont have to give you any real explination on why we do what we do with your money.  The only thing you need to know is that we "think" its best.  And besides, for some reason if we use positive feed back to release funds instantly, we can't use shipping as the default method to release funds when the buyer doesn't leave feedback.  Thats just to hard to wrap our heads around.   We can only use one method or another to determine when to release someones funds, even though we have several methods to determine when to freeze someones funds.

I mean really.  Thats the dumbest answer I've ever seen.  There's no good reason why I need to wait 3 more days or more to get access to my money when the buyer gets his package and leaves positive feedback.  Its not PayPals money, but they sure as heck act like it is.  This is bad bussiness no matter how "PAYbay" tries to spin it.

I couldn't have said it better. I just posted something similar. If everyone is happy, there is NO REASON to continue to hold our money. Buyers don't like it either! They want their money to get to the person it was meant for!! Not floating out there somewhere.

recently read a post where a customer had the same complaints and threatened to leave...the paypal rep who responded said "See ya!!" No help, just a take it or leave it mentality. Such bad business. Like we have no rights.

As soon as my auctions end, I'm closing my account. It's a shame but they will lose alot of customers if they don't rethink this policy. Horrible customer service to boot!!!!!
