Payal does not protect Buyers

Paypal's Buyer protection policy is one big lie. I have filed a claim and provided proof of merchant sending a product which is not usable as was advertised. It didn't fit! It was misadvertised and when I asked merchant to correct the problem immediately he refused. I filed a dispute and sent the product which cost me $27.00 then provided proof of shipment to the dispute resolution folder. Paypal has ignored my dispute to this day. That's protection? BULL!!!! Paypal **bleep**! I urge Buyers not to use Paypal. It is better to deal with VISA & MASTERCARD because they offer true protection. I'm out $103.00 & $27.00 shipping something back that I couldn't use because of Paypal who could have forced the merchant to refund my money before I shipped anything back to them. The resolution process is a huge joke to make Buyers think they are safe from merchants false advertisements.

I agree that Paypal protects only themselves. Paypal uses delay tactics so that they can hold your money as long as possible. Report them to the Better Business Bureau. I tried to make a purchase and they told the company my purchase was declined. I then gave the company my credit card and they charged me directly, Two days later, Paypal put teh charge through. When I called, they told me I would have to get a refund from the company. One day later the company issued teh refund. Now Paypal says they have to hold it to verify the accuracy of the refund. Think of all the money they make doing these things to their millions of customers. It is a scam and I intend to contact evry agency I can until Paypal at least acknowledges they have an issue.

I am in agreement with you and KEEP SHOUTING. Although Paypal recently addressed my situation by rendering a decision to return my funds, this does not change my view about Paypal and their handling of this purchase transaction. They made me a victim after having received a falsely advertised laptop battery from laptop-battery adapter-dot-com. They had knowledge of the advertised item and did not take immediate action which potentially placed my $100.00+ at risk of non-retrieval from a China Merchant. Instead they requested proof of product return from me (the victim) so now I had no money and no merchandise as collateral. Then I received notice that they would leave the dispute open for 3 weeks before closing with a decision. I had to purchase a battery from another Vendor and did not use Paypal to complete the transaction. All said and done, it cost me $27.27 to send back the battery and show a form of proof to Paypal which I will not be reimbursed for because I no longer have collateral to force the Merchant to do so. Just the other day I received notice that my original purchase amount has been placed back into my account. This is such poor relations and they had the nerve to send a questionaire regarding my satisfaction. Reluctantly I wasted my valuable time to explain my displeasure with their insensitve handling of my dispute. I seriously doubt it matters one bit to them and none of our negative reviews will affect the poor manner in which they handle matters. Visa & Mastercard are loyal to the accountholder and chargebacks are processed immediately prior to any investigation. Paypal's loyalty is to themselves first and then to the person who pays their way - the Merchant/Seller.  I will now shop the internet and find Merchants that accept Visa/Mastercard even if the item costs me a bit more.

I totally agree and am very frustrated. I order from fastpc.com and they failed to provide me with a license number or registration number so I could use the product. After 3 phone calls to the seller, I filed a dispute with PayPal and escalated it to a claim. All I got in return is an email stating they could not give me a favorable decision/refund. The email did not state why and the transaction does not even show in my account anymore, not even as a closed case. I have contacted PayPal by email. The result was another email instructing me how to find the details which are not there. A lot of nonsense for a $35. transaction. I would be happy with a license key if no refund but I find't even get that. Who scammed me? PayPal or safecart$
