bereavement

PayPal's bereavement service, is there one? Awful! I have been trying to close my late father in laws account for the last month and struggling, I have completed the 'deceased indemnity form' and the only way to get this to PayPal is by fax I have tried several times but it doesn't work. No post, no email address? I called the call centre 3 times and been told someone will call me back to advise how to proceed but no has, very frustrating during what already is a difficult time!

@Ryan32

Not the best of service when you are having to sort out such a lot at a sad time is it.

Have you tried uploading it? Not sure it will work but try it anyway.

I'm acting as Executor for my brother who died 2 months ago. For the last 7 weeks, I've been trying to obtain some information about his PayPal account as I'm required by law to do. During that time, 41 other organisations have dealt with my requests. A few of them have done this excellently, more have been only good and a few have been no better than OK. Only PayPal has been utterly incompetent. Based on this experience, my advice is that you should not agree to act as someone's Executor unless they agree to close their PayPal account first.
