How long can I leave "Money waiting for you"?

I have yet to verify my identity with PayPal, but I have $5 that say "Money waiting for you" and under it, "Accept the money", I've probably left it alone for a year now and it hasn't disappeared yet. I want to start receiving more money on PayPal but am not yet ready to verify my identity. I've already looked up this issue and it said that the money disappears after 30 days but I thought maybe because I only have one payment waiting and so little that that it might be some sort of exception. Basically I don't want to receive more money if that will suddenly trigger PayPal into deleting my account or sending back my money. Does anybody know how much longer I can leave the money without it disappearing? Also can I continue to receive money and verify my identity in a couple of years?

I'm currently 17 and sold something on Ebay. The money went through to PayPal, but because I'm not 18, it won't let me transfer the money to my bank or add it to my balance. So there's just money floating around waiting for me to turn 18 so I can accept it. It's been about a month so I'm hoping that I can just ride it out until I turn 18 and then accept the money. Does anyone know if it will 'expire' at any point? I've got two months left until I turn 18.
