problems deleting primary e-mail address and making a secondary email address primary

I lost access to my primary email address and therefore want to delete it and make my secondary e-mail address that has not been confirmed yet the primary one. I tried to confirm my secondary e-mail address, but I never received a the confirmation code, I suspect it was sent to my primary non accessible e-mail address. How do I proceed? I could not find the answer in any info in the help section. I have been going around in circles.
Would highly appreciate an advice. Off course e-mails from here will be sent to the same non accessible email account. I hope I will find the answer by coming back to this board. Thank you!

No, the email confirmation will be sent to the added email address to confirm. No point in sending it to the current primary email address only, if at all. Once you're able to confirm new email address, go back to the email settings, to the new email address to make it the primary one. Then delete the old inaccessible email address.

Sorry, still no email. The secondary email was not added now, I had added it long time ago but never confirmed it. No email confirmation has been sent to it.
