creating paypal account in Taiwan with local bank account? Which bank is available to use?

My friend living in Taiwan who has a local bank account cannot register her bank account code on her paypal. She was asked to type in 9 digit numbers (bank account code) but she says Taiwanese local bank code only has 3 digits. What shall we do about this?

Also, which local banks are available to start using PayPal in Taiwan?

Taiwan PayPal accounts can link US Bank account or Taiwan (local) bank so maybe your friend clicked link a US bank (which uses 9 digit routing and transit number) by mistake, and not local bank option?

If there is no local bank option within the PayPal account, try this method:

Double check if you really need to have an E.Sun bank account or just an E.Sun online banking profile where you can enter your local bank account info to do PayPal withdrawals.

Thank you for your reply. We selected "local bank", not the US bank, but it still required us to type in 9 digit codes...
