PSD2 directive lies

PayPal says that EU users will be asked for two-way confirmation just occasionaly. For me that sounds like a lie.

PayPal disturbs me with this f******g feature EVERY TIME I want to log in (not only for payments), despite I do use my account for "micro" payments (public transport tickets, TV shows and other trustworthy recipients) and acces it from the same IP only for last years.

Now I am abroad, my phone is not working due to other EU regulations and thanks to PayPal I have no access to my payment tools.

The best of all - I am not able to contact PayPal support, it requires login with two  way confirmation.

I have used this services for its freedom, not its (proclamed) security...

Thank you, thank you very much, all the PP team.. oh wait, not "thank", another word would be better..

Paypal is country specific so if you move countries or are trying to use it in another country then you will hit problems.

If you have moved permanently then you need to open another paypal account in the country you reside in and add an address / phone number / bank accounts / cards from within that country.

Its no wonder they are asking you to confirm i.d with a phone code if you are trying to use the account internationally as their security defences are checking its you and you have not been hacked and your account being used by another countries user.

You should really withdraw any funds / resolve issues / remove cards and bank accounts / cancel any subscriptions and close the old Paypal account before you move countries. If you don't then you may have problems doing so once you have moved and may need to contact customer services for help to resolve things.

Contact options for Paypal are accessed by clicking help/contact bottom left of Paypal pages...

1. Paypal phones are slowly re-opening and increasing in numbers (you can use the guest option if you can't log in).
2. Live chat is also randomly available.
3. You can send them a message, during business hours you may also be able to message whilst logged out.
Or
4. Have you considered contacting Customer Service via Facebook or Twitter?
You can send them a personal message from their Facebook or Twitter pages.
It's: https://www.facebook.com/PayPal and @AskPayPal for Twitter.
