Lost account Activity/History after upgrading to Business Account.

Hi.

I've just upgraded to a business account thinking it might be useful to occasionally send an invoice to a customer using Paypal. Now there's no history or old data at all in the Acticity.

I've used Paypal for puchasing and occasionally selling items used in my self employed work over the past few years and need the information for doing my book keeping and accounts. 

Has anyone had this issue before. I just spoke to PayPal and they just said sorry we can no longer see your account history - try downgrading. But can't even see an option to downgrade only to close my account. They said wait and see what happens over the next few days.

Does anyone know how I can access the activity? 

I thought it was all safe online. I assumed that Paypal was similar to a Bank where they had to keep account statements safe online. 

This can't be right can it?

I feel so frustrated with it all and can't beleive they can loose all my statements! Paypal don't seem to appreciate why it's such an issue.

 

Wonder if anyone has any ideas?

Hello @Mariner3,

 

Thanks for posting in the PayPal Community forums for help with this issue. That is certainly a strange problem. I have never heard of an account holder's information disappearing after they've upgraded to a business account. 

 

How long have you had this account? Are you sure that you might not have two accounts instead? I'm only wondering if a new account happened to be established instead of your personal account being upgraded. In any case, you should be able to access any running history by using this link.

 

.If you can not find your transactions on your own, I'd recommend continuing to work directly with PayPal customer service. Maybe if you have a payment receipt in your email, they can use the transaction ID to locate one of your previous transactions to figure out what happened.

Thanks very much for the reply Rich.

 

I've been upgraded to the business account for almost a week. 

 

Also I changed my email address at the same time and now can't login using my old email. 

 

When I view the activity it says There are no transactions for this date range for whatever date I try. Also checked for archived transactions.

 

Just noticed a £200 paypal transfer done today from my barclays account by direct debit but can't see any record of it on the paypal account. Haven't had any purchases that big on ebay recently so will chase it up tomorrow. 

 

I'll post back to give an update soon.
