Hello Paypal community. I would like to ask if anyone here has successfully had an account closure reversed?
My situation is this....
Due to COVID our business recently closed. My partner and I are both self employed, based in UK, and have been left to rot by the UK government WRT any kind of subsidised pay or financial support during lockdown. We have been putting food on the table by making sales on eBay of some computer equipment from our now closed business.
PayPal have been placing holds on every single transaction for months. Because of our situation we were constantly waiting for released funds just to have the money to ship new orders. I had called Paypal several times a day to explain our situation and request someone to look at our account status so we could find out why we had holds on every transaction, as this has previously not been the case with our other Paypal business accounts. Unfortunately EVERY TIME I CALLED I had the same problem of SCRIPT READING and LANGUAGE BARRIER! The fact is that had we not been subjects to these relentless holds, we would have had the money to operate in a way that would see our customers happy and help us grow as we previously had with other businesses.
Here is where is went wrong. I had 2 transactions for a total of £158 who's items had been delivered. A further few transactions who's funds were on hold of around £750. The issue was no racking was shown on Paypal for delivered items. When I attempted to upload tracking I mungled it up and uploaded for the wrong transactions. The trying to correct my error and remove tracking I found I had no way to do this so I entered 00000 so that I could upload that tracking for the correct transaction. After a lot of messing it up I called Paypal and asked them to help. They had told me it was OK. Then I find my account is limited. They requested proof of fulfilment for transactions I had accidentally uploaded the wrong tracking to. Because funds that were due to be released that very day was now being held, that was intended to be used to ship, we could not provide evidence so I refunded the buyers as we were completely stuck.
I tried to explain this in a message to PayPal and bang. Account closed! I can not explain to any rep because no one has English as a first language and anyone I speak to repeats the script and also seem to just ignore anything I am saying.
We now have no income. nothing. Can someone please help. How do I get an Irish person on the phone. I do not know what to do. as I had to refund all buyers we had bad feedbacks, eBay closed. Paypal closed. All because I made a mistake with tracking and we are so poor as a result of COVID we had to wait for our found to be released before we could ship. No one will listen.
