Hello,
I have already been using Website Payments Standard for my website, but I would like to set up a 2nd, unrelated business to it.
I don't mind referring both of these websites as businesses under a generic parent company name for the business name Paypal gives the customer, if thats what needs to be done. But how do I go about actually setting up the second website with new Paypal buttons, when my Business Information settings only allows me to list ONE Business URL? What exactly is the "Business URL" setting used for?
Thanks!

Great, thank you! One more question - someone else in this thread said that it is not for UK accounts (US only). Is this correct?
Thank you for your help.

Hello Sabre360,
You are very Welcome! In most cases this will work for a UK account. Both accounts will need to be set up with the UK currency. I hope this helps.

Hello arlomedia,
I do apologize as I did not make it clear that you would first need to create a second PayPal account with no bank account before we are able to link the two accounts. It is also correct that this is not able to be set up over the phone a request would have to be sent to the correct department.
This is also correct - I asked if this was the same as a "student account" and was told that no, this is a different thing.
This set up is completely different.
This seems to be exactly what I needed, so I'm glad I found this thread! - I am also really glad you found this thread as this process can be very confusing.
Let me know if you have any further questions.

I already have 3 business paypal accounts, each created with a different checking account. Am I correct to assume these cannot be linked because they all have a different checking account? What could I do in this case, create new accounts or remove current associated bank accounts?
Also, the business is a partnership so I have the accounts set up with the Employer ID Number. Do I need to add my SSN before having them linked?
Thanks.

That is not correct, the bank accounts can be removed from the child account.

You would not need to add your SSN before having them linked.

Here's a follow-up on my experience in setting this up. I didn't receive any notification from PayPal when my accounts were linked, but I tried a test transaction after five days and sure enough, the money was automatically transfered to my parent account that night. All the child transactions now appear in the history of both accounts, so I can view the transactions from either place. In the child account, they appear as before; in the parent account, they are labeled as coming from my child account. So, this seems like a good solution and wasn't difficult to set up once I knew what to ask for.

Hello arlomedia,
Thank you so much for posting your end result with the Parent/Child account set up. This type of feedback helps other PayPal account holders when it comes to knowing what set up would work best with their business.

Hi,
I am using Web Payment Standard as well. I was told by a Pay Pal rep that I would need to upgrade to Pro in order to link two separate websites to one PayPal Business account.
I have my first site linked but I'm having difficulties linking the other site. I read somewhere on here that if I call customer service would be able to help me but i did not receive the help I needed.
Please help

Hello evolver,
I am sorry to hear you had a bad experience when you called PayPal. If you would like to link two separate PayPal accounts (each account receiving money) from two separate websites you do not need to upgrade to Website Payments Pro. You will just need to contact PayPal and request the accounts to be linked.
Once the two PayPal accounts are linked to the primary account (with the bank account), both accounts will receive money from the separate websites and will be swept into the primary account daily.
I hope this makes sense.
