API user name

How do I create a valid API user name?  Everything I try says "! Please enter valid API username."  Help!!!!!!!

Hello egresham,

You can view or remove your API username, password, and signature at any time.

Here’s how to view or remove your API credentials: Go to www.paypal.com and log in to your Business account, Click ‘Profile’ near the top of the page, Click 'My selling tools,' Click 'Update' beside ‘API Access, ’Click ‘View API Certificate,’

you can choose to download or remove the certificate or you can click ‘Done.’

If you choose to remove the certificate, you will be prompted to review the information, and then click ‘Remove.’
