Goods stolen by customer and Paypal won't do anything about it.

Hi there, after years of successfully running an online web store with payments via PayPal, a customer received the goods and then immediately started a claim with Paypal, saying he had not received the goods. I have countless emails from the guy saying that he did receive the item but he wont cancel the dispute with PayPal and now Paypal have deducted the cost from us. So he got the items for free and we cant get a response from PayPal. Any suggestions? We have messaged Paypal so many times on this and get no response.
