I got an e mail regarding a purchase I didn't make. I tried using the Resolution Center, Help and even tried calling the number provided to no avail. What can I do?

In that case read the below info, and...your welcome.

If its a spoof, NEVER USE ANY LINK.

Firstly if the email/text addressed you as ''Dear Member'' / ''Customer'' / ''Client'' OR your ''email address'' then that confirms its a spoof as paypal would address you by your full name eg Dear John Smith.

Secondly if there was a link OR attachment in that email/text to ''cancel'' any transaction or ''confirm'' any details then again it would be a spoof.

If there was a problem with your account Paypal would not ask you to click on an unsafe link in an email or by downloading an attachment, they would direct you to log in normally and go to the resolution or the message centre for more information.

Was it a spoof email or does the transaction actually show in your paypal account activity?

Only the e mail. But while I'm here. Am I the only person having so much trouble getting issues look at? So far I've had to repeat following the same instructions over and over? I also got 4 e mails saying I had messages only to go to the message center 5 times before having one there?

Can you give me advice on a issue. I’ll attempt to explain it as best as possible. Recently I made purchase from “pettyat.com” and after my order sat as processing and processing I looked up reviews on the website. It’s a huge scam site from what I gathered. I was under the wrong impression that PayPal “trusted sites” would be just that. I reached out to PayPal support just to get a run around on some policy leading to them not being able to do anything.
