A thief paid $264 for an item, not through eBay. He then claimed the item was broken & filed dispute. PayPal decided that I was to refund the full amount UPON THE RETURN OF THE ITEM TO ME. Instead, the thief returned a box of junk to me, NOT in any way or part of the original item. PayPay then stole the $264 from my account & refunded the thief, despite being notified of the scam. PayPal “graciously” allowed me to appeal, instead of halting the scam. PayPal is AS guilty of theft as the thief. I’ve filed a complaint with the better business bureau, and will be pursuing criminal charges. I’m honestly shocked that PayPal has knowingly assisted in this theft.
