My buyer says paid for an eBay item via PayPal but the payment cannot be traced according to PayPal customer services. Now buyer says hasn't received item, but how am I suppose to go forward if I can't find the transaction? PayPal no help just say there's no transaction for said item and trying to get to the right part in help on ebay is no good keeps referring me to other parts of ebay that's no help. I don't even have access to click in ebay "mark payment not received" which I find strange as that's always nearly available in most ebay orders. Have I been scammed by buyer? Line for example getting me to send item, which I only do when told by ebay, so that must have happened, but how can this happen through PayPal surely a payment had to be made for ebay to say "send item, buyer has paid" I'm so confused right now, buyer is about to open item not received case, and wonder how ebay will handle it, because all I have is the item number obviously I have no transaction ref, I can't believe how unhelpful PayPal are been surely they must be able to help more with an item number, name and address but no not any use what so ever, where do I go from here? Also, I've emailed buyer twice asking for the PayPal transaction ref but they aren't responding, very strange
