PayPal is not accepting my valid US number with area code 771 from Washington, DC. Every time I include it to confirm my number, it tells me it is not valid and at other times it says there was an error. I contacted PayPal, was askes a few security questions, and they “reset” my account. This didn’t seem to help. Is there a way to get PayPal to allow to add a 771 area code number? It is a new area code, approved in 2021 for Washington, DC, after 202 area code numbers started running out.
