I just created an account and I set the profile name to the name I’m in the process of legally changing mine to. Since the name change hasn’t yet processed I guess this means that the one in my account isn’t technically my legal name. Am I going to get in trouble for this? Can I still use my account while the name change is processing? Should I change my account name to the name I currently legally have just to change it back soon when my name change finishes processing? If I do change the account name how quickly would I be able to change it back, I’m not sure how much longer my name change will take because Canada Post is on strike.
You can only change your name for a 2 character mistake OR for legal reasons.
So whilst you could risk it and wait you would not be able to add/verify the account with a bank account as it has to be in same name as your paypal account name to verify your account and withdraw any funds.
Advice is voluntary. Kudos / Solution appreciated.
My bank account is already linked to my PayPal account. I don’t know if it’s verified but it has a bunch of options to add money or request invoices and stuff like that
