trying to log onto account but it asks for 6 digit verification code which i don't know

My wife is trying to log onto her PayPal and its asking for a 6 digit verification code, she has never set this up and does not know what the code is

We are aware that this is the 2 step verification code process but without being able to log on she is unable to turn the 2 step verification code off, without being able to log on she is also unable to contact PayPal directly using there messenger and we also can't find a phone number.

Can anyone advise what she can do to log onto her account

Do you have a mobile (not landline) phone issued in your country and registered in just your name verified on your Paypal account?
Paypal are using mobile phones for i.d requirements for logging in and withdrawal funds for extra security measures.
