Why does PayPal close itself when I try logging in on Samsung Galaxy Z Flip4?

I recently upgraded to the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip4 and I wanted to login to the PayPal app like I have on my S10 but every time I enter the correct info, it asks for a capcha and when I complete it, it shows a check then closes the app, returning me back to the login screen. I know my login info because I was able to login to PayPal on Chrome with no problem on the Flip 4, any ideas?

Did you keep the same phone number for your new phone?

I did not, what steps would I need to take for this? I do still have my old phone with it's number active so I could switch everything over to the new number
