Why can't I turn off email notifications?

I am surprised that no one has asked this before - or at least it didn't find a relevant answer when I asked the question.

I want to turn off ALL email notifications.  I much prefer to have them through the mobile app.

But it seems that with some notifications, such as Send Money, I am forced to accept the email notification?  I spend half of my life trying my best to reduce all email, and I don't need to receive an email telling me I just sent money to someone when I just sent it.  I thought of changing my email to an alias and auto-filing it but that is not ideal.

Is there anyway to disable email notifications?  Thanks.

Hello @TimoRoss,

Thank you for contacting the PayPal community forum. I understand your questions about setting up your email notification. In this case, you can follow the steps mentioned below.

1.Log into your PayPal account

2. Click the Settings icon at the top of the page.

3. In the blue bar near the top of the page, click Notifications.

You can change the setting accordingly to your preferences. If you need any help, please contact customer service by clicking contact at the bottom of the PayPal website to see the contact options.

I hope this helps.

Ayesha

Hi Ayesha - thanks for the response.  I am not able to change the settings according to my preferences.  For Send Money, Receive Money, and Make a Payment in a Store the option to disable email notification does not work.  It says "This can't be turned off". Please advise.
