Is there a way to remove a secondary e-mail address from a locked account?

Hey,
so basically my account just got locked and I have been told to make a new one, though I'd like to know if it'd be possible to unlink my secondary e-mail address from my current one, so that I can link it to the new account? I'd prefer that rather than having to like create an entirely new e-mail or something... for the record, I am unable to do it myself, as attempting to do so only says: "Sorry, there's a problem. If you keep seeing this, please contact customer service."
Thanks for any responses.

Click help / contact bottom left of Paypal pages for options available for your country.
Or have you considered contacting Customer Service via Facebook or Twitter?
You can send them a personal message from their Facebook or Twitter pages.
