Due to covid, I can't go back to Italy so I have to use PayPal abroad. Yesterday my account was locked and personal verification with a phone call was needed. I‘m an English speaker and it's so difficult for me to make such a phone call that is in Italian.
Maybe there's a technical issue when using the PayPal app on iPhone. It always logs out automatically while I'm using it, so I logged in several times yesterday. Then my account was locked.
Paypal is country specific so if you move countries you have to open another paypal account in the country you reside in and add an address / phone number / bank accounts / cards from within that country.
You should really withdraw any funds / resolve issues / remove cards and bank accounts / cancel any subscriptions and close the old Paypal account before you move countries. If you don't then you may have problems doing so once you have moved and may need to contact customer services for help to resolve things.
You can however add a U.S bank account (not card) to 'most' other countries paypal accounts. This is because paypal is a U.S company and so allows this.

I'm a new member from Lesotho but I'm a Nigerian, my account was limited. I uploaded my passport for review as my verification proof and it's more than 3 business days since I opened the account and there's no reply from PayPal team. What should I do? Can I open another account?
