With PayPal, you receive money when someone sends a payment to your PayPal email address (the one(s) you log in with—you can add up to 8 email addresses to one PayPal account; 1 primary, 7 secondary) or mobile number. Once that happens, PayPal sends you a message letting you know you have money available.
If the transaction is for a sale of goods and services, make a simple PayPal buy now button or email url with the button generator or create and send an invoice, to get seller protection.
